Montana Property Wooden Bridge Construction

I am currently considering the purchase of a property in Montana which requires the replacement of an existing bridge to gain access. The new bridge must maintain the dimensions of the previous structure, 12 ft wide and spanning 38 ft over a creek. The current support system consists of concrete pillars, that are both large and sturdy. I am interested in designing a bridge with an I-Beam span and wood overlay slats, but am open to discussing the specifics of this design. The type of wood used is also open for discussion.
