I am in the middle of planning a custom-built home and want a seasoned interior designer to shape key spaces—the living room, primary bedroom, kitchen, dining, and study —into a cohesive contemporary modern showcase. Each room should feel connected yet have its own character, with clean lines, smart storage, and a palette that leans contemporary rather than cold.I have a floor plan to work with!
Living room
This is the entertainment hub, so the layout must prioritise comfortable seating, a clear focal wall for the media set-up, and sightlines that draw guests toward the conversation area without blocking circulation to the adjoining patio.
Kitchen
Think streamlined cabinetry, integrated appliances, and task lighting that doubles as subtle accent lighting once the cooking is done. I would like guidance on fixture finishes and an island design that can handle both quick breakfasts and weekend cocktail prep.
Bedroom
I’m after a calm retreat: understated built-ins, layered textures, and discreet tech integration (hidden charging, soft-glow night lights). The room should silently reinforce the modern aesthetic established in the common areas.
Deliverables I need from you
• Two initial mood boards per room to lock in direction
• Scaled floor plans with furniture placement (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or comparable)
• One round of 3D renders for each space, refined after feedback
• A curated shopping list with exact product links and alternates available in North America
Once we agree on the concept, I’ll handle purchases and contractor coordination; you simply keep me aligned on materials, colours, and proportions. If you can start within the next week and communicate clearly through each revision step, we’ll be a perfect fit.
