Manifold Fire Water Connection Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have an operating manifold facility and now need to tap into its header for a new wet-pipe fire-water system. I already hold complete, up-to-date P&IDs, GA drawings, and utility layouts, so the focus is purely on engineering the connection itself rather than re-surveying or onsite supervision.
Here is what I expect from you:
• A fully engineered design for the new fire-water take-off, including line sizing, valve arrangement, tie-in locations, and back-flow isolation that works seamlessly with the existing manifold.
• Hydraulic calculations demonstrating that the required flow and pressure for a wet pipe system will be achieved under all demand scenarios.
• Updated P&IDs and isometrics reflecting the new branch, issued for construction in native CAD (DWG) and PDF.
• A concise material specification and valve/data sheet package aligned with NFPA 13 and relevant local codes.
• A short constructability note set (tie-in method, shutdown time, hot-tap or cold-cut recommendation) so the installation crew can plan the outage.
Acceptance criteria: designs must meet NFPA 13, show minimum 20 % safety margin on hydraulic demand, and be ready for authority approval without additional rework.
If all looks good, I may later open a separate task for installation supervision, but for now I solely need the design package delivered. Let me know your estimated timeline and any data you still require from our end so we can kick off right away.
