Integrated Security Project Design & Documentation

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

We are looking for a professional engineer or CAD designer with experience in low-voltage and electronic security systems to support the design and documentation of a complete integrated security project for the U.S. market.

The scope of work must include:

1. CAD Drawings & 3D Modeling

Development of 2D AutoCAD drawings (floor plans, technical diagrams, risers) for a full electronic security system.

3D modeling in Revit (BIM preferred) to ensure integration with other building systems (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Fire).

Clear identification of technical rooms, conduit pathways, cable trays, junction boxes, vertical shafts, and device locations.

Proper annotation and codification of all elements.

2. System Components to be Designed

CCTV (Closed Circuit Television): camera layout, cabling, and conduit.

Access Control: doors, readers, controllers, power supplies, and conduits.

Intrusion Alarm: sensors, panels, wiring, and conduits.

Fire Detection: devices, wiring, and conduits.

Structured Cabling: UTP for security systems, fire-rated cable (FPLR) for fire detection.

Independent Telecommunications Closet (CTO) for security systems.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) integration for critical loads.

3. Bill of Materials (BoM) & Technical Documentation

Complete Bill of Materials (BoM) listing devices, cabling, conduits, and accessories (with specifications and quantities).

Design Narrative / Design Report including project objectives, design criteria, standards applied, and final recommendations.

Calculation Reports where applicable (power consumption, cable sizing, device coverage).

Technical Specifications for devices and construction execution.

4. Deliverables

AutoCAD files (DWG).

Revit models (RVT, if applicable).

PDF drawing sets for review and submission.

Bill of Materials in Excel.

Design Narrative and Calculation Report in PDF.

5. Requirements

Proven experience with security system design for the U.S. market (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Structured Cabling).

Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and U.S. building code requirements.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination.

Ability to deliver professional, permit-ready drawing sets and documentation.

Objective: The goal of this project is to obtain a complete professional design package that can be submitted for client approval and city permit review in the United States.
