I am seeking an experienced and actively licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect based in Houston, Texas, to design a custom home with an elevated foundation for flood prevention and F3 tornado resistance.
Key Requirements:
1. Must hold a current, active PE/Architect license in Texas (verification required).
2. Must be located in Houston and available for an in-person meeting to sign a legally binding contract in front of a notary.
3. Practical experience with Helical Piers and ICF (specifically Quad Lock ICF) is essential.
Home Design Features:
- Elevated foundation design using steel supports.
- Modern, traditional, or colonial architectural styles.
- Shell construction: Helical Piers + Concrete Beams + Concrete Slab + Concrete Walls + Concrete Roof.
Scope of Work:
- Full set of construction-ready plans including architectural, structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and civil plans with detailed calculations and load-bearing specifications.
Ideal Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in flood-resistant architecture and steel support structures.
- Strong portfolio showcasing similar projects.
