HVAC Design & Costing Quote
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have a small hotel project in Weipa, QLD (fewer than 50 rooms) that urgently needs a full mechanical design-and-construct price. I’ve locked in the architectural layout but can’t spare the time to build the numbers myself, so I’m handing the task over.
Scope
• Size & use: hotel, <50 keys, north-Queensland climate (ambient up to 38 °C).
• Preferred plant: split-system HVAC; please confirm if any ancillary ventilation or packaged options would be smarter once you run the loads.
• Deliverables I need from you:
1. Heat-load calculations and brief design narrative that shows compliance with the tropical conditions.
2. Complete equipment schedule for every indoor and outdoor unit, plus controls, mounts and consumables—brand, model, capacity, price.
3. Itemised cost estimate covering labour, materials, freight, technician travel, site accommodation and any prelims.
4. High-level construction programme or milestone timeline that matches the quoted costs.
5. Assumptions and exclusions clearly stated so I can slot this straight into our tender pack.
Helpful tools: If you already use CAMEL, Carrier HAP, Revit MEP, AutoCAD or similar, please stick with your normal workflow and supply the native files along with a PDF summary.
Logistics & timing
Weipa is remote, so allow for flights and on-site stays in your figures. I must lodge the full tender by 20 January; I’ll need your completed package two days earlier so there’s room for review.
If you’re comfortable with split-system selection, tropical design and detailed cost build-ups, let me know your approach and the data you’ll need from me (architectural plans, zoning, etc.) and I’ll forward everything straight away.
