Fibre Home Network Setup

Job ID: 39946003

Budget: £10 – £15 GBP

I’m upgrading my house to a fibre backbone so video calls and remote-desktop sessions run flawlessly. I already have a few specific brands and models in mind, but I need a clear, no-nonsense plan that shows exactly how everything should link together.

What I’m after:
• A concise network diagram that maps fibre runs, termination points, and any supporting Cat-6 drops.
• A shopping list showing the precise models I mentioned, plus any additional patch panels, transceivers, SFP modules, or mounting hardware required.
• Step-by-step installation guidance—enough detail that either I or a local electrician can follow it without guesswork.
• Basic configuration notes so the router, switch, and access points prioritise smooth video-conferencing traffic.

Please submit a brief but structured project proposal outlining how you’ll tackle the design, the tools you’ll use (e.g., Visio, AutoCAD, NetBox, or similar), and the estimated turnaround. Links to past fibre or home-lab projects are welcome, but the proposal itself is the key for me.

I’m ready to move quickly once I see a solid plan.
