Experienced Architectural Designer for Australian CLASS 1a Residential Projects
Budget: $10 – $0 USD
We are seeking an experienced architectural designer or drafting professional to prepare construction drawings and documentation for Australian CLASS 1a residential projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Australian residential building design, especially CLASS 1a (single dwellings, duplexes, townhouses).
- Strong knowledge of NCC (National Construction Code) and relevant Australian Standards.
- Ability to produce complete construction documentation that can pass local Council or PCA approval.
- Familiarity with state-specific requirements (NSW, QLD preferred).
- Proficient in Revit / AutoCAD (or equivalent BIM software).
- Able to coordinate structural, MEP, and compliance details within the documentation.
- Attention to detail and understanding of local building practices, materials, and compliance.
- Good communication skills in English to liaise with our project team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a full set of construction drawings, including:
- Site plan, floor plans, elevations, sections.
- Construction details and connection details.
- MEP layouts where required.
- Compliance notes and specifications.
- Ensure all documents meet Australian codes and can be submitted for DA / CDC / Building Approval.
- Revise drawings based on Council/PCA feedback if necessary.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous projects in NSW or QLD.
- Experience with modular or prefabricated housing is a plus.
