Eurocode Foundation Design for Timber Cabins
Budget: $5 – $35 USD
I'm in need of a professional who can carry out Eurocode design calculations for foundations intended for small timber residential cabins, carports, sheds etc. (we get quite a few projects).
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine design load effects on the structures in line with Eurocode and various national annexes
- Vertical and lateral capacity of different foundation options will be provided to you to use
- Develop an optimal foundation layout based on capacity, geometrical layout, and cost. Also needs to consider span limits of timber base.
- Produce simple plan sketch of foundation arrangement
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of Eurocode design principles
- Ability to produce simple plan drawings.
- Ability to produce easy to follow calculations
- Ability to communicate what the governing factors of the design are (e.g. beam spans, vertical capacity, lateral capacity) and brainstorm alternative solution options
