Entry-Level CAD Metal Prototype
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have a handful of small mechanical parts that need to be modelled in CAD for a metal-based prototype run. The geometry is straightforward—think brackets, spacers, and simple linkages—yet it must be production-ready, dimensionally accurate, and easy for a machine shop to interpret.
Because this is a low-stakes trial project, I want to give brand-new freelancers a chance to prove themselves. If you are still building your portfolio, this is an ideal first step.
Scope of work
• Create clean parametric 3D models (any mainstream platform such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, or Onshape).
• Produce fully dimensioned 2D manufacturing drawings with tolerances called out for metal machining.
• Deliver neutral formats (STEP/IGES) plus the native source file.
• One round of minor revisions is included so we can dial in any critical fit.
Acceptance criteria
- All critical dimensions match the sketch I will provide (±0.05 mm unless otherwise noted).
- Holes align concentric within 0.02 mm.
- Drawings clearly indicate material: 6061-T6 aluminum (unless another alloy is agreed upon).
Send over a sample screenshot or PDF of something similar you have modelled—school work is perfectly fine. I will choose the freelancer who shows careful attention to detail and communicates promptly.
