Engineered Drawings for Family Home
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
I'm in need of a professional to create engineered drawings for a single family home. The purpose of these drawings is primarily for construction.
Scope of Work:
- Complete engineered drawings for the entire house, covering all aspects from the foundation to electrical and plumbing systems.
- Working from existing partial designs; the freelancer will need to fill in the gaps and create a comprehensive set of drawings.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in creating engineered drawings for residential construction.
- Proficiency in interpreting and working from partial designs.
- Knowledge and understanding of all house systems, including foundation, electrical and plumbing.
- Ability to deliver precise, detailed and high-quality drawings.
My husband and I have recently retired and are planning to build our (hopefully) last home. As such, I have incorporated age-in-place components such as wider doorways and a spacious master bathroom. We have a 1/4 acre flat lot on which to build. I have a degree in interior design and have designed the entire home using Floorplanner.com. I've also built a scale model of it. We could benefit from suggestions regarding the roofline. Other than that we won't need help with the home design, though we would welcome suggestions if something looks off. The home will be a slab on grade rambler, with a finished loft area above the kitchen/laundry/mudroom/pantry. It will also have an unfinished storage loft in the garage. The garage, workshop and craft areas (in gray on the left) will be unfinished space when we move in. We are looking for someone to draw the plans from which we can build, to ensure that it will be structurally sound and meet all building code requirements. I will attach a screenshot of the floorplan, as well as pictures of the 3D model.
