Engine Parts 2D to 3D Conversion
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have several detailed 2-dimensional drawings of engine components that now need to live as fully parametric 3-dimensional CAD models so they can go straight into our manufacturing workflow. Dimensional fidelity is critical; every hole, thread, and mating face must match the original drawings exactly because the finished parts will drop into an existing assembly line without further adjustment.
You will receive:
• PDF and DWG files of each part, complete with tolerances and geometric dimensioning notes.
• A short table of critical dimensions that must not drift under any circumstance.
What I need back:
• The native CAD files you build in SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, or a comparable professional package, plus a neutral exchange file (STEP or IGES) for our CNC team.
• A quick screen capture or still image set showing major features and key measurement checks, just so I can sign off before we release the files to production.
Acceptance criteria
1. Every nominal dimension matches the source drawings; I will run an overlay check.
2. Thread callouts and hole depths conform to the supplied notes.
3. All parts export cleanly as solids, with no surface gaps or manifold errors in the neutral file.
Turnaround is flexible within reason; accuracy matters more than speed, but let me know your typical lead time for similar work and we can slot this into our schedule. If any annotation is unclear, please flag it early so we can sort it out and keep the models moving smoothly into production.
