Earthquake-Resistant Concrete Residential Home
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am seeking an experienced structural engineer to draw up a structural plan for a fully concrete, one-story residential open-plan home of 1308 square feet, capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions, particularly earthquakes and tornadoes. Floor plans are already made and can be provided, I just need a structural engineer to draw up structural plans so that the building company that I am working with can give me a price estimate on the cost to build the house.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of geological considerations for construction, with the ability to establish a deep foundation supported by underlying bedrock.
- Expertise in employing thick concrete (2 feet on walls, ceiling, floor/slab) for solid, rigid constructions.
- Proficient with open-plan layouts that can efficiently utilize a 1308 sq. ft house area.
- Familiarity with concrete exterior finishing methods.
- Prior experience with earthquake and tornado-resistant structures would be highly beneficial.
This specialist needs to ensure the robustness and longevity of the house while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
