Drafting Services For Porch Construction
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Roofed Open Porch Proposal
The freelancer will provide the following drafting and permit support services:
* Code and Zoning Review: Research applicable building codes and zoning requirements for Lombard, IL.
* Review & Translation of Concepts: Interpret existing sketches, site images, and client-provided information into CAD drawings.
* AutoCAD Drafting: Develop a full set of construction drawings, including:
* Site Plan: Showing deck location, property boundaries, and house relation.
* Framing Plan: Layout of deck joists, beams, posts, and footings.
* Elevations: Front, side, or rear views as needed.
* Sections & Details: Stair construction, guardrails, footings, and framing connections.
* Permit-Ready Plan Set: Format and prepare drawings per Village of Lombard submission requirements.
They will assist with drawings that adhere to zoning, drainage, structural and electrical compliance. This includes the following.
Up-to-date plat showing to-scale:
1. The exact location of the proposed structure
2. Distance to the principal residence and other accessory structures
3. Setbacks from the property lines
4. Approximate location of nearby utility lines
Construction plan set: To-scale and dimensioned drawings showing:
* Foundation plan: size, spacing, and material (e.g., concrete piers, trench, blocks, etc.)
* Framing/floor plan: size, length, spacing, and material of beams, floor joists, and decking
* Section/elevation view: height of the structure, stair and railing design, etc.
Additionally, where applicable, provide:
* Roof plan: framing sizes, spacing, materials, and drainage
* Electrical plan: exterior power receptacle and lighting locations
