Dam Structural & Soil Lab Design
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m moving forward with a new dam and need a civil-structural specialist to prepare the full design package along with a dedicated material-and-soil testing laboratory layout.
Scope of work
• Produce structural calculations and stability checks for the dam body and its associated buildings.
• Develop detailed drawings (AutoCAD or equivalent) ready for construction approval.
• Lay out a soil-test laboratory, including equipment positioning, utility requirements, safety zoning, and workflow.
• Compile a concise design report summarising assumptions, geotechnical parameters, and compliance with the chosen code (ACI, Eurocode, USACE, or similar).
What I’ll provide
Existing topographic surveys and preliminary geotechnical borings at project start.
What I’d like to see in your bid
• Relevant dam or large-scale hydraulic structure experience.
• Preferred design codes and software.
• Indicative timeline for first draft, revisions, and final submission.
Deliverables will be reviewed for completeness, calculation accuracy, and drawing clarity before approval.
