Build a functional and decorative wall-mounted shelf with hooks for storing and organizing items like keys, bags, or small plants. It's a simple project that can be customized in size, design, and finish.

---

Materials Needed:

1. Wooden board (e.g., pine or oak) - 24" x 8" (adjust based on desired size)

2. Wooden brackets or triangular supports

3. Hooks (metal or wood)

4. Screws and wall anchors

5. Wood glue

6. Sandpaper (medium and fine grit)

7. Wood stain or paint

8. Polyurethane or wood finish (optional)

9. Brush or rags (for staining/painting)

---

Tools Required:

1. Drill

2. Screwdriver

3. Saw (hand saw or circular saw)

4. Tape measure

5. Clamps

6. Level

---

Steps:

1. Cut the Wood:

Cut the wooden board to your desired length for the shelf.

If using scrap wood, ensure the edges are straight and smooth.

2. Sand the Wood:

Smooth all surfaces and edges with sandpaper. Start with medium-grit and finish with fine-grit.

3. Attach Brackets:

Attach wooden brackets or triangular supports to the underside of the board using screws and wood glue.

4. Add Hooks:

Measure and mark evenly spaced spots for hooks on the bottom side of the board.

Drill pilot holes and attach the hooks securely.

5. Finish the Shelf:

Apply wood stain or paint in your preferred color. Allow it to dry completely.

Optionally, seal the surface with polyurethane for added durability.

6. Install the Shelf:

Mark the wall where the shelf will go. Use a level to ensure it's straight.

Drill holes and insert wall anchors.

Mount the shelf securely using screws.

7. Style It:

Add plants, books, or decorative items on the top, and hang your keys, hats, or bags on the hooks below.
