Convert Scanned Multi-Family Housing Plans to Editable DWG Drawing (for Use in Revit)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Job Description:
I’m looking for a professional with experience in AutoCAD or similar tools to vectorize scanned architectural plans (in PDF format) and convert them into clean, accurate, and layer-organized DWG files, faithfully replicating the original drawings.
The job consists of:
Digitizing floor plans, sections, and elevations from a scanned PDF file (10 pages).
Maintaining correct scale and proportions based on the plan's dimensions.
Organizing elements into logical layers (walls, doors, windows, schematic furniture if visible, dimensions, text, etc.).
Delivering editable DWG files prepared for import into Revit.
Requirements:
Geometric accuracy and clean files (no double lines, loose objects, or unreadable text).
Previous experience vectorizing scanned architectural drawings.
Fast turnaround (ideally within 2–3 days).
Knowledge of CAD standards and use of organized layers.
Will be provided:
Scanned PDF of the plans (floor plans, sections, and elevations).
A clearly marked reference dimension for scaling the drawing.
Expected deliverables:
A clean, organized DWG file ready to be used as a base in Revit.
(Optional) A PDF with the vector drawing overlaid for accuracy verification.
Important:
3D modeling or adding furniture/materials is not required. Only the basic structure should be traced accurately (walls, openings, roofs, levels, and architectural elements as shown in the plans).
Preferred communication language: Spanish or English.
