I'm in need of an experienced construction cost estimator for a project. The primary goal is to track actual costs against initial bids, ensuring we stay within budget throughout the project's lifecycle. The project involves estimating costs primarily for materials, with some consideration for equipment and labor.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, or labor to determine the project's economic feasibility.
- Utilize Microsoft Project to predict expenses and track costs.
- Evaluate the cost-effectiveness or profitability of the project.
- Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a cost estimator or in a similar role, particularly with Aramco projects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ideal skills for the job include proficiency in Microsoft Project, a solid understanding of material costs, and experience in tracking project costs against bids.
