Concrete Beam Formwork Design & Documentation
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Design the form work for concrete beams.
Review the two concrete beam drawings in Canvas.
Design the concrete forms for Beam 1 and Beam 2.
Create Drawings, Drawings must include;
Plan View, Front Elevation, and End Elevation. (this is a drawing of the empty form not the beam)
You may use CAD, or if by hand, you must use graph paper.
Views must be properly oriented. (see Beam drawings for orientation).
Draw basic dimensions.
Your materials for this design can only be 2x4's and OSB. (attempt correct scale)
Create Documents
Create a letterhead for your company
Create a form for Billable Hours on your letterhead and fill in for this project.
Create a form for a parts list with dimensions and fill in for this project.
Create a form for Material Cost and fill in for this project.
On your letterhead, write a paragraph on how you would accurately place the anchor bolts in Beam 1.
On your letterhead, write a paragraph on which one of the three locations you should place the rebar for maximum strength in Beam 2, explain why.
Submit Documentation to this Assignment
