Commercial Seismic Restraining Design Approval
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 CAD
Looking for an expert in structural engineering to help with the seismic restraint of a commercial building, roughly 2272 sqft that is in the process of beginning a renovation to change the existing space into a childcare centre.
Your task is to review the existing digital or physical structural plans, create a seismic restraint design if necessary, and assist with the necessary approvals.
Key skills and qualifications required:
- Expertise in structural engineering
- Knowledge of seismic design for commercial buildings
-Knowledge of seismic design for childcare facilities in British Columbia, Canada
- Experience in the design approval process with municipalities
- Proficiency in reading and creating digital plans
Your primary goal is to ensure the commercial building is structurally safe during seismic activity and meets all necessary building codes. Any recommendations for improvements or modifications to the existing design are welcome.
Attached is our Architectural drawings to where you will see the seismic design/drawings for the T-bar ceiling. Please note, there is NO changes being made to the existing structure, all we need is a Structural Engineer to signoff/stamp our drawings and schedule B for approval from the City of Abbotsford.
We require a completed Schedule-B stamped and sealed under the Structural field of review requirements as you will be taking responsibility for the structural capacity of structural components of the building, including anchorage and seismic restraint.
