I’m moving a commercial project from concept into detailed documentation and need a civil-engineering drafter to translate my mark-ups into polished building layout drawings. The focus is strictly on the building footprints, internal grids, and structural reference lines—site plans and utility runs are already handled elsewhere, so you can zero in on the layouts themselves.
You’ll be working from PDF sketches and field notes and converting them into layered CAD files that are ready for coordination with architects and MEP engineers. I normally exchange files through AutoCAD (DWG) and welcome work in Civil 3D or Revit if that speeds your workflow; just be sure the final deliverable lands back in DWG and print-ready PDF.
Key acceptance points:
• Dimensions must close accurately and follow our standard layering scheme.
• All text, leaders, and symbols should use our provided style file.
• Drawings need to comply with local commercial code references that I will supply.
Turnaround on the first draft is five working days, with one round of revisions included. Let me know your typical file hand-off process and any questions you have about the existing sketches, and we can get started right away.
