Civil Engineer/CAD Expert for Permit Plans

Freelance Civil Engineer or CAD Designer Needed for Permit Plans – Nassau County, FL

I’m looking for a Civil Engineer / Experienced CAD Professional to assist with a few critical tasks needed to obtain building permits for a residential cabin in Callahan, FL (Nassau County).
Project Address:
46700 Middle Rd, Callahan, FL 32011, USA
Task 1: Site Plan Update (Septic System Location)
• The site plan is already complete, but I need to add the septic system location.
• Originally the plan was to use existing septic tanks that were left in the ground after removing the mobile home that once sat at the same site we are constructing the cabin. However upon inspection we opted to replace the septic system. The company we hired got their permits approved and completed the installation about 10 days ago. We have the site map they used to obtain the permit with the measurements the used. We just need them added to our site map so it reflects the new septic system that now exists.
• This includes marking the distance from the road and the nearest property line based on provided details (We have measurements used for obtaining permits) ~ See Attachments
• No new survey is required—just an update to the existing site plan.
Task 1A: Produce an 8 1/2” x 11” Site Map for Permitting (Specifically Requested by Nassau County)
Task 2: Lot Grading & Final Elevation Plan
• The county requires a lot grading and final elevation plan, which was missing from the original engineering documents.
• The plan must include:
• Existing and proposed grading contours
• Drainage flow directions
• Finished Floor Elevation (FFE)
• Spot elevations at key locations
• A specific note stating:
“The foundation is 13 inches above the highest adjacent grade.”
Task 2A: Please review the plans and notify me of any mistakes or adjustments that need to be made so we can discuss
Important Compliance Requirements:
✅ All work must fully comply with Nassau County Permitting Department requirements, as well as all local and state laws/regulations.
✅ The final deliverables should be in the correct format for submission to the county permitting office.
Ideal Candidate:
• Civil Engineer, Land Development Specialist, or CAD Draftsperson with Site Plan Experience & Can Obtain Civil Engineer Review & Stamp
• Familiar with grading, drainage, and elevation planning
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software
• Experience with Florida permitting requirements is a plus
