Chicago Self-Cert Permit Expeditor
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m looking for a licensed permit expeditor who knows the Chicago Department of Buildings inside-out, especially the Architect Self-Certification pathway. The job centres on a building permit and health permit application. My architect is still finishing the drawings, so I need you ready to jump to help with the debt certification, and get approval from building commissioner to submit under self certify due to building health.
Scope of work
• Confirm the project is eligible for self-certification, paying close attention to the height limits.
• complete Debt Check Request and secure the Debt Clearance Certificate.
• Prepare and lodge the Health Department submittal that accompanies the building permit package.
• Assemble, upload and track the self-cert application in E-Plan, responding to corrections until the permit is issued. (potential may be handled by arch)
You must already hold the required City of Chicago expeditor licence and have recent experience shepherding self-cert projects through DOB review. Familiarity with the debt clearance portal, CHIBPS Health review and electronic signatures is essential.
