Drafter / Project Estimator position:
AutoCAD Drafter / Project Estimator (Full-Time) – Philadelphia, PA
Skywide Construction, a full-service design and construction company based in Philadelphia, is hiring a Project Estimator with AutoCAD drafting experience. This role is essential in providing accurate material estimates, creating detailed layouts (tile, flooring, drywall, etc.), and ensuring cost efficiency in our projects.
Responsibilities:
• Use AutoCAD to measure dimensions and verify material requirements.
• Research and source pricing for all necessary materials.
• Accurately count and estimate materials for construction projects.
• Create renderings to demonstrate layouts, including tile, flooring, and drywall plans.
• Work with Clear Estimates (training provided).
• Organize and maintain project documentation.
• Communicate effectively with the team.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and measurement verification.
• Basic understanding of construction materials and estimating principles.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to grow within the company.
Salary & Growth Opportunity:
• Starting at $2/hour for the training phase (first month).
• Once proficient in estimates, pay increases to $5/hour.
• Further raises are available based on skill level and accuracy.
