AutoCAD Drafter -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
We are looking for a AutoCAD draftsman to assist our current team.
We are based in Melbourne, Australia and have a high volume of work drawing plans for carports, verandahs, decks and Sheds, and plan on growing the business in the coming future. We pay per job and have an average rate of $100AUD per job which takes about 2-3 hours to complete. Smaller jobs pay a little less but larger jobs can pay a lot more. $100 is just the average. We typically do 300-400 jobs a year and plan to grow to double this over the next two years. We also include 3 revisions in this price to our customers as well before charging them further per hour. Revisions do not include any errors we make or should already know as a draftsman.
A set of plans generally includes a site plan, frame plan, 2x elevations and connection details. Please note connection details are just copied and pasted from our typical connection detail library. Sometimes details may have to be slightly edited to suit a job but generally not necessary have attached an example of a full set of drawings to this post for you to review.

Skills that we need are as follows:
Proficient in AutoCAD
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products (eg. Word, Excel, etc)
Proficient in Google Suite Products (eg, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc)
Understands how to use ClickUp is preferred but not required
Communicate with Customers via email or video call (specifically zoom, google meet, Microsoft teams, WhatsApp)
General knowledge skills required are as follows:
Australian Standards for timber and steel construction (we can help teach this as it is not difficult to learn).
Understand what are the different types of post footings
Understand what are the different types of materials used
Must Haves:
Own Computer with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Installed
Stable and Reliable Internet Connection
