Auto cad/freecad fabrication drawings 10 to 15 small drawings per week
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
there is about 10 to 20 drawing to be done per week. more or less
The jpeg file is the actual customer order. the customer can choose whatever dimension he wants, and those were the final dimensions chosen. those dimension are the "total shower dimension size" base on the shower "center-line". from those dimension we need to create the actual fabrication size of each glass panel for production. i used autocad to create the pdf file. this pdf file is what i sent to production. it does not even have to be to scale, so i usually simply use template i already have and change the dimension in text accordingly.
essentially each type of hardware is associated with a specific deduction, that is pres set, and the corner junctions too, so we would simply need to establish the rules for all the hardware, but its 95% of the time the same 10 type of hardware...
essentially here were the deductions made;
we take out 1/8" (to width and to the height) for the glass to wall clamps hardware. (gap between the wall and the glass.)
we take out 1/2" for the gap at bottom of the door for the door sweep.
we take out 5/16" each side (total 5/8") for the door gap for the door seals.
drawings were made based on centerline measurements, and the fixed panel passes in front of the return panel at the corner,
so i have added half of the thickness of the glass so 3/16" (10mm glass = 3/8" , 3/8"/2 = 3/16" ) to the total width of the fixed panel,
i have removed 3/16" for the return panel width for the same reason and i have also removed 1/8" at the all for the clamp. so return panel width = 38-1/2" - 3/16" -1/8" = 38 3/16"
