Architect needed for creating home remodel plans
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
My husband and I are looking for an architect to draw up the plans for our remodeling ideas for a house in Irvine CA 92612. We are looking to make structural changes (remove a wall, enclose an atrium, remove a fireplace), as well as plumbing and electrical changes (move laundry indoors, upgrade electrical, add AC) and would like to work with an architect that can help us plan the most economical way to accomplish all of this.
Other homes in our neighborhood that have the same model have done a lot of this (minus removing the fireplace), so you should be able to pull up public records for those addresses as a starting point. These plans will be used for the permits so they will need to conform to all local regulations. In particular we will need help navigating how to keep one bedroom legally a bedroom after the atrium is enclosed (we have been told numerous times this is possible if done correctly).
