Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Project 1:
Project Title: Shadowbound AR
Project Purpose: This project creates a short, atmospheric AR moment where users scan a custom horror marker and watch a creature appear in their space. The goal is to use AR to build tension and surprise, showing how digital elements can blend with the real world to create a memorable experience.
Marker & 3D Asset: The marker will be a circular horror sigil with sharp lines and a distressed, blood‑red look so it tracks well and fits the theme. When scanned, a 3D shadow creature will rise from the marker—thin, eerie, glowing eyes, and subtle movement to make it feel alive and unsettling.
Concept Mockup Graphic: Present a graphic created with an image editor or MS Office that provides an approximation of your AR concept. Images can be brought in from outside sources for academic use with appropriate reference/attribution.
(The mockup will show the sigil placed on a table with the creature digitally overlaid above it. Labels will point out the marker, the creature, and the AR camera view. Any outside images used will be properly credited.)

Project 3:
Create a marker-based AR application that uses (a) an image marker, and (b), a 3D asset. When your phone sees the image marker, it will place the 3D asset into the room. You can create an image marker (.JPG works nicely) and 3D model (free asset from the Unity store or Sketchfab or something repository--your choice). You also have the option to create your own 3D asset with a software utility like Blender 3D if you choose.
