Android AR App Tester Needed (Real Phone + Good Camera + Full Recording Required)
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
We have developed a new Augmented Reality (AR) application for Android and are looking for a detail-oriented QA tester for an initial round of testing.
Your primary goal is to test the entire application, identify bugs, and provide comprehensive feedback on usability, performance, and any potential improvements.
This is a "first phrase" test. If your feedback is thorough and helpful, we will pay for this project and will likely have more work for you as we develop new features.
!! Critical Requirements !!
Please do not apply if you cannot meet these two requirements:
Real Android Phone: You must use a physical, real Android smartphone. We cannot accept any testing done on an Android emulator (like Android Studio, Genymotion, etc.).
Full Session Recording: You must screen-record your entire testing session—from the moment you open the app until you have tested all features. This video file is the main deliverable.
Your Tasks & Deliverables
Install the App: You will be provided with the .APK file.
Record Everything: Start your screen recording before you open the app for the first time.
Perform Testing:
Follow any test-case list we provide.
Perform "exploratory testing" to try and find bugs we didn't expect.
Test all buttons, menus, and user workflows.
Pay special attention to the AR features (how objects appear, tracking, lighting, interaction, etc.).
Deliver Your Findings: You will provide us with two items:
The complete, unedited video file of your test.
A written report (e.g., a Word doc or Google Doc) that includes:
Bug List: Any crashes, freezes, or features that don't work. Please describe the bug and list the steps to make it happen again.
Usability Feedback: Your thoughts on the app. Was it easy to use? Was anything confusing?
Improvement Suggestions: Any ideas you have to make the app better.
Ideal Candidate
Has experience in mobile app QA or software testing.
Owns an Android phone with a good-quality built-in camera. (This is very important for testing AR features properly.)
Is detail-oriented and thorough.
Can communicate clearly in English.
Is reliable and can deliver on time.
How to Apply
To show you have read this entire post, please begin your proposal with the phrase: "AR Tester Ready"
In your proposal, you must also include:
The exact model of your Android phone (e.g., "Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra," "Google Pixel 7 Pro"). This helps us understand the camera and sensor capabilities you will be testing with.
Confirmation that you can and will provide a full-screen recording of your test.
We look forward to your proposals!
