On-Site Audit of UN Expenditures in Zambia
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a qualified financial auditor who can physically visit client offices to review all expenditure records tied to our UN-funded activities for the last calendar year. Your core mandate is to evaluate financial efficiency—identifying where money has been well spent, spotting areas of waste or duplication, and confirming that internal processes support cost-effective delivery of results.
You will have full access to vouchers, contracts, bank statements, and any supporting documentation. I will facilitate introductions to our finance and programme teams so you can interview staff, verify the paper trail, and observe our procurement and inventory practices in real time.
At the end of the visit I expect:
• A concise audit working papers that benchmarks actual spending against approved budgets and highlights efficiency gains or gaps.
• A clear set of actionable recommendations ranked by priority, with justifications and potential savings.
• A brief presentation (virtual or in person) where you walk senior management through your findings and answer questions.
Please indicate relevant UN or NGO audit experience, the standards you follow (e.g., IPSAS, ISA), and how many days you would need on-site versus off-site to complete the work.
