Record a few Audiobooks for My Personal Use
Budget: $10 – $17 USD
Hey guys,
This project should be fun for you: fun and easy. Now read carefully because only serious proposals (those where it was clear that the one bidding paid attention! ;) will be considered.
1) This is not a commercial project.
I'm going to be asking you to read a few published books that I need to be able to get through for some private research I'm conducting. These books will be medical related (alternative cancer treatment material).
Your audio will never be listened to by anyone other than myself- they won't be sold, etc. I've already bought the hard copies; I just have no time to sit down and read all these books and I need you to read them to me! ;)
They are obviously very obscure, otherwise they'd already have audiobook versions for sale.
2) Mistakes are fine. Do not edit these books; that would be a waste of your time since I'll only be listening and taking notes once.
3) I'm terribly sorry to be so selective, but you've got to have a clear-sounding English voice. American, British, or extremely fluent with very little accent is acceptable.
4) Please upload a short recording of yourself speaking to me so I can verify that there won't be any communication problems ;)
YOUR GOALS should be to read / record as fast as you can without compromising on vocal clarity. YOU WILL NEED TO BE GOOD at reading in general; not everyone can read something out loud with an accurate anticipation of what kind of flow or purpose a sentence will take. You don't need to be 'spot on' (as you'd only be if able to read each section a couple times before recording), but someone who has done this stuff a time or two will know just what I mean.
5) I'll probably take 36-48 hours to select a proposal, so don't feel bad if you don't hear back from me right away.
