I am recording audio for videos with an Electro Voice RE20. I am having so much trouble with my audio, it's a joke. This is a great mic so I would expect to be having an easier time with this.
My main issue is sibilance, as well as the general quality not being amazing. Please review the attached files for reference. Removing background noise and clicks is one thing, but if I use a de-esser to reduce the sibilance the already questionable audio quality becomes even worse. I had a guy on Fiverr do work on my audio and he compressed my voice, dealing with the sibilance mostly but lowering the quality of the audio (also attached).
I really need someone to have a video conversation with to understand how I can deal with all this because I need to record audio regularly and the quality needs to be a lot better. I'm lost and really need help.
