YouTube Shorts Editor — Faceless History Channel (ongoing, full production) -- 2
Budget: £10 – £20 GBP
I run a faceless history channel that brings the past to life with AI visuals. I'm looking for one editor to take a topic and hand me back a finished, upload-ready Short. Script to final cut.
This is ongoing work, not a one-off. If the first batch lands, you become my regular editor and the volume grows.
What you'd own per Short:
Write a tight 30–60 second script from a topic or one-line brief I give you
Generate or source the visuals (AI images/clips + stock where needed)
Voiceover (AI voice is fine — I'll tell you which one)
Edit: cuts, captions, sound design, music, hook on screen in the first 1 second
Deliver a vertical 1080×1920 MP4, ready to upload
The channel's winning formula (this matters — study it):
The Shorts that work are a single shocking or gross historical fact with a strong hook. Ancient Rome and Ancient Egypt perform best. Think "Ancient Rome taxed pee," "Rome invented fast food 2,000 years before McDonald's," "Why you wouldn't survive Roman surgery." Punchy open, fast pacing, one idea, clean payoff. Slow intros and vague "timeline" framing flop.
You're a fit if you:
Have edited short-form (YouTube Shorts / TikTok / Reels) before — send examples
Can write a hook that stops the scroll in the first second
Can work with AI image/video tools and AI voiceover
Can keep a steady output (I want 3–5 Shorts a week to start)
Communicate clearly and hit deadlines
Budget: $10–20 per finished Short, paid per delivered video. Faster, cleaner editors who can batch will earn well here because the volume is steady and ongoing.
To apply, send:
Two short-form videos you edited (links). History/faceless work is a bonus.
One sentence: what makes a Short's first second work?
Your price per Short and how many you can deliver per week.
I'll pick a few applicants for one paid test Short. Whoever nails the hook and pacing gets the ongoing slot.
