Speaker hookup

I would like someone to help me hook up a wired speaker to my other audio equipment. I'm not looking for any installation - just someone who can help me connect it up properly so that it functions properly and sounds great. I'm sure you know why a quality sound system is important, so if you can help me out that would be much appreciated. Thanks!
