Project 510: Speech Data Collection and Annotation
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
We are seeking native speakers of several languages to participate in a speech data collection and annotation project using a mobile application provided by the client.
This project involves recording and annotating short spoken utterances to support the development of language and speech technologies.
We are currently recruiting native speakers of:
- Dhivehi
- Rohingya
- Urdu (must be located in Lahore, Pakistan)
- Hindi (Haryanvi dialect)
- Bangla (Sylheti dialect)
Pay rates are as follows:
Dhivehi: $22 for transcription and $10 for recording
Rohingya: $22 for transcription and $10 for recording
Urdu: $20 for transcription and $7 for recording
Hindi (Haryanvi dialect): $20 for transcription and $7 for recording
Bangla (Sylheti dialect): $20 for transcription and $7 for recording
Selected participants will be required to complete one or more of the following tasks:
- Read Speech Recording (approximately 600 short utterances)
- Conversational Speech Recording (topics will be provided; participants will create own scripts)
- Transcription & Annotation (reviewing and labeling recorded speech data for accuracy and linguistic features)
All tasks will be completed using a mobile application provided for the project.
Participant Requirements:
- Must be a native speaker of one of the target languages listed above
- Must be 18 to 55 years old
- Must have access to a smartphone
- Comfortable following instructions and recording natural speech
- Both male and female participants are welcome
Pay rate:
- $7 -10 USD for recording
- $20-22 USD for transcription
Additional Information:
- No prior experience is required, but attention to detail is important
- Full instructions and training will be provided before starting
- Work can be completed remotely at your convenience
***Payment for this project will be processed through Freelancer’s Milestone Payment System. As this is an Enterprise project, milestones will be created and released only after the verified Enterprise client approves the work following a quality check. A project fee of 15% applies to this Enterprise engagement.
