Master lectures - editing

I have recorded some 15 video lectures, mp4 format, 1-hour long each. I need them to be edited at the beginning, at the end and in the middle (occasional pauses or mistakes in the speech).

I have done it myself using iMovie, but the saved files have a corrupt audio track (e.g. audio disappearing after the first 20-30 minutes).
