Manually Transcribe 7-Hour Noisy Audio

Job ID: 40222865

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have roughly seven hours of outdoor recordings filled with wind, rain and other environmental sounds that drown out large portions of the dialogue. Automated tools have missed too much, so I need a careful human ear to capture every word that is even partially intelligible.

Accuracy is the sole priority. Whenever speech is understandable—names, brief interjections, longer sentences—I want it transcribed exactly as spoken. If a fragment is impossible to decipher after several replays, simply note it as “[inaudible]” and move on; no guessing or AI filler.

Deliverables
• A clean, well-punctuated transcript in .docx or .txt format
• “[inaudible]” tags where words truly cannot be heard
• Optional: basic timestamps if you normally include them

You may use whichever tools help you listen—Audacity, Adobe Audition, Express Scribe, even mild noise-reduction filters—so long as the final text is based on your own listening and not machine transcription.

I’ll send three WAV files that total about seven hours. When you reply, let me know your turnaround time and one example of a similarly challenging audio project you’ve handled. A short, paid sample (about one minute) will confirm we’re aligned before we proceed with the full batch.
