History Podcast Audio Editor Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
Hello! I am producing a scripted history podcast (Grey History) and I'm seeking an audio editor for ongoing work.
The Job:
- You'll be tasked with removing background noise, enhancing audio quality, and editing out mistakes in each episode.
- We will provide a script with each episode for referencing during the editing process ensuring clear understanding of where edits are needed. The podcast is highly scripted. Think audio-book-like.
- There is roughly 2-3 hours of unedited audio content per episode.
- There is two episodes a month. We are looking for someone who is interested in on-going work.
- I need to generate two files for each main episode. The two files will have different introductions and conclusions, and one will have ad-spots and membership plugs included while the other won't.
- Additionally, there may be one or two other files of smaller bonus content per episode. These are included in the roughly 2-3 hours of unedited audio per episode mentioned above.
Skills and Experience:
- Ideal candidates should have prior experience in podcast or other audio editing. However, this can be taught on the job for those with the right attitude.
- Familiarity with noise reduction techniques and audio enhancement tools is desirable.
- Each task requires quick turnaround times and ability to respect agreed upon deadlines - reliability is key.
- A passion for history and storytelling is a plus - we'd love someone who 'gets' what we're doing.
- Most importantly, I need someone with fantastic attention to detail and takes their job seriously. I pride myself in podcasts that do not contain mistakes, repeats etc.
If you are interested, please provide relevant information about your experience and services.
