Entertainment Virtual Assistant Toy Development

Job ID: 40027495

Budget: €2 – €6 EUR

The goal is to create a lively entertainment-focused virtual assistant toy that feels more like a playful companion than a static gadget. I already have a broad concept and need a developer who can turn it into a working prototype, handling both the interactive software and the control firmware that will drive the toy’s personality.

Core idea
The toy should hold short conversations, respond to simple prompts, and generally keep users amused through jokes, mini-games, or spontaneous reactions. Beyond that baseline, I’m open to creative flourishes—anything from LED-driven facial expressions to a little “dance” routine or sound effects—so long as the result is fun and engaging.

Tech expectations
A lightweight embedded OS or a small-form SBC is fine; what matters is snappy voice processing, clear audio playback, and a reliable way to update content over USB or Bluetooth. If you prefer TensorFlow Lite, PocketSphinx, or another on-device speech stack, let me know. Cloud fallback is acceptable as long as privacy safeguards are in place.

Deliverables
• Functional prototype (hardware + 3D-printed or demo enclosure)
• Source code with compile / flash instructions
• Brief user manual and developer hand-off documentation
• Short video or live demo proving the interactions

Acceptance criteria
The prototype must power up, greet the user, respond correctly to at least ten demo phrases, and play an entertainment routine lasting 15–30 seconds without external software assistance.

Timeline and milestones can be negotiated once we discuss your preferred toolchain and any existing component libraries you’d like to leverage.
