Church Sound System Troubleshooting

Job ID: 39049014

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I'm in need of a sound technician to diagnose and fix the sound system at our church. The issues we're experiencing include distorted or unclear sound coming from various components, including the speakers and amplifiers when digital instruments such as a Nord Stage 3 is playing.

It sounds like a "transitor radio", thin, and lacking deep rich fidelity that is heard when headphones are directly connected to the instrument. When blended with guitars, bass, and drums, plugged in, those instruments as well are lacking quality sound.

Vocal sounds through wireless mics are crisp, clear, and full.

Presently, a Midas M32 mixing board, with top-end Danly speaker system and sub are installed. Very lite internal technical knowledge is available to mix or determine what is going on.

Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive evaluation of the sound system
- Diagnosis of the distortion and unclear sound
- Implementation of necessary repairs or adjustments

Ideal Freelancer:
- Prior experience with church sound systems, specifically Midas M32 board and Danly speaker system.
- Proficient in diagnosing audio equipment issues
- Able to work with digital instruments and synthesizers
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical issues in layman's terms

LaGrange Illinois is the location. Would need on-site evaluation.
