Children’s Songwriter & Audio Assistant

Job ID: 39417625

Budget: €6 – €12 EUR

Who are we?

We are Great Little People, an innovative educational publishing company specialising in teaching English to children aged 1 to 8. We design hands-on, play-based materials that make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. Music is a key part of our methodology, and we integrate original songs into each of our thematic units to help children learn vocabulary and grammar naturally.

What do we need?

We are looking for a freelance collaborator to help us adapt and produce our children’s songs in English. This includes revising and simplifying lyrics to fit specific educational content and age levels, generating the audio using Suno or similar tools, and editing it to ensure it meets our standards in rhythm, clarity, and musicality for a young audience.

You will work remotely with support and guidance from our product team and follow clear educational and creative briefs.

Main responsibilities:

Adapt lyrics of children’s songs

Simplify existing lyrics or write new ones based on educational objectives and storybook content. Ensure they are age-appropriate, easy to sing, and aligned with each unit’s vocabulary and grammar focus.

Generate songs using AI tools (like Suno)

Use our preferred AI audio generation tool to create playful, musical outputs with the right voice, style and rhythm.

Edit the generated audio

Fine-tune timing, pitch or tempo when necessary using editing software to ensure songs are clean, catchy and child-friendly.

Collaborate and organise files

Save and label files correctly in our shared cloud system, and update progress using a shared Google Sheet.

Requirements:

High level of English (native or C2 level), with excellent grammar, vocabulary and rhythm awareness.
Understanding of early childhood education and language development.
Experience writing or adapting children’s songs or poetry.
Ability to match lyrics to music and create catchy, rhythmic lines that rhyme.
Familiarity with Suno or similar AI music generators.
Basic audio editing skills (we can teach you our workflow).
Strong organisational skills and ability to follow clear processes.

Nice to have (but not required):

Experience in music education, early childhood teaching or ELT content creation.
Knowledge of tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, Descript or similar.
Ability to sing or record voice samples (not required, but a bonus).
