British Accent Sentence Recording Task

Simple Sentence Recording Task for Native British English Speakers
Task Overview:
A total of 500+ simple sentences.
Each sentence must be recorded twice:
Once at a slightly faster speed.
Once at a normal speed.
Speed Requirements:
Normal Speed: Natural conversational pace, clear and easy to understand.
Slightly Faster Speed: Slightly faster than normal but still maintaining clarity and naturalness.
Pause Restrictions:
Avoid noticeable pauses within a sentence.
Gaps between words should not exceed 0.5 seconds.
Faster recordings should remain fully articulated, with no skipped words, slurring, or omissions. This is not a fast-challenge style recording.
Participants:
50 native speakers from the United Kingdom.
Participants must have English as their first language with a British accent.
Recording Quality:
Articulation: Speech must be clear, with no pronunciation errors.
Accent: A natural British accent is required. Light regional accents are acceptable as long as they don’t hinder clarity.
Tone: Conversational and natural; avoid robotic or exaggerated intonation.
General Guidelines:
Clarity: Ensure every word is fully pronounced and easy to understand.
Consistency: Maintain uniform quality for all recordings, across both speeds.
Environment: Recordings should be done in a quiet environment, free from background noise.
