Audio editing - adjust voice to background noise

The aim is to create a good opener to a clip about room acousitcs.
The idea is that the audio starts with people talking loudly in a "room with bad acoustics" so with low absorption and quite high reverberation. Then you hear the speakers voice in the background beginning to speak. Then the crowd talking should slowly become more silent, while the speakers voice becomes more clearer and comes to the foreground.
The speakers opening sentence is: Beside the ability of the speaker it is the acoustics of the room on which the intelligibility of speech depends (language is German, file will be provided).
People talking in the background: if you don't have something suitable anyway will also be provided
