Audio & Voice Recording
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We are looking for Native US people (US English) who can do singing voice recording as per below details :
Collection Requirements by singing type
Classical music - 6 total hours (30% of total hours)
Examples - choral, opera, classic pop (e.g. Sinatra)
Approximately 12 participants each recording for approximately 30 minutes max
Pop music - 12 total hours (50% of total hours)
Examples - pop, rock, country, soul, etc.
Approximately 20 participants each recording for approximately 30 minutes max
Rhythmic music - 4 total hours (20% of total hours)
Examples - hip-hop, rap, syllable timed speech
Approximately 8 participants each recording for approximately 30 minutes max
Collection Requirements by participant
Participants should choose what to sing, what they are most comfortable and familiar with that best fits into the category.
Recording time per participant: 30 minutes (+/- a couple of minutes)
Participant count: Target 40-45 persons
Participants in initial phases will have shorter recording times
Total # of participants will vary to achieve total 20 hours of recording times
Language: US English
Diversity:
Best effort at Even distribution on voice tone/pitch - best qualification is low, medium, high tone/pitch
Gender: 50% male, 50% female, +/- 10%.
Best effort to include higher-quality singers
Audio Properties
Audio must be recorded in lossless format. The format is not particular (e.g. Wave) as audio can be converted to other audio formats.
Recorded via Smartphone (Android and/or iOS)
Audio format: Minimum of 44100 Hz PCM, mono, single channel, WAV file format. Audio will not be processed (e.g., no compression, reverb, EQ).
Background Noise: None (Quiet, indoor)
Padding: 2 seconds start and end of audio so as not to affect pronunciation
Each accepting recording will be delivered as a separate file
