Audio Recording Problem

I have a Stellar X2 mic and the Focusrite 2i2 3rd gen interface. I have not used them that much. There is a crackling noise that shows up in my recording, but is only present when I am speaking. For a while, I was unplugging everything after use, which helped for a little while but wasn't consistent and now all my recordings have this crackling noise. Originally, I was recording on a cheap PC and a lot of the recording was just coming out corrupted and so there would be silence. I switched to a MACbook. So, now, I don't lose any of the recording, but there is this crackling noise that can't be edited out. I need someone who can figure out this issue and set me up to get a clean recording. I do not record any music. I only record my voice speaking.
