MUSIC PRODUCTION & COLLAB (WANTED TO MAKE A SONG)

Hello,
I am an aspiring songwriter and singer and I feel i have decent vocals and lyrical skills to come up with something good, but I am totally unaware of how music production system works and and how to put together the final product which makes for a great song nor do I possess any recording instruments as of now, because first of all I want to and try and make a song with whatever is available , and as they say you don't need any equipment if you have a great music producer, I will be paying for all the extra charges i.e. Beat licenses etc.
