We are seeking a talented and experienced vMix Coach with expertise in live and pre-recorded event production, as well as sound/audio engineering. As our organization expands its digital presence through virtual events, live streaming, and prerecorded content, we require a knowledgeable professional to guide us in maximizing the capabilities of the vMix software and ensuring exceptional audio quality.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expert guidance and coaching on the setup, configuration, and operation of vMix software for both live and pre-recorded events, ensuring smooth and professional production.
* Collaborate with event organizers, producers, and technical teams to understand project requirements, goals, and timelines, and tailor vMix solutions accordingly.
* Design and implement customized vMix configurations, including layouts, overlays, transitions, and virtual sets, to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of live and prerecorded content.
* Oversee the integration of multiple video and audio sources within vMix, including cameras, microphones, audio mixers, graphics, and media files, to achieve seamless transitions and optimal sound/audio quality.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions during live events, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining high production standards.
* Optimize vMix settings and workflows to streamline production processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall viewer experience.
* Stay informed about the latest vMix updates, features, and best practices, and incorporate new techniques and technologies to continuously improve event production quality.
* Collaborate with the sound/audio team to ensure synchronized audio/video playback, proper audio mixing, and high-fidelity sound reproduction across all event platforms.
* Provide training and support to internal staff or external partners involved in event production, empowering them to utilize vMix effectively and confidently.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in live event production and virtual event management, with a focus on using vMix software for video mixing, streaming, and recording.
* Expertise in sound/audio engineering, including microphone setup, audio routing, mixing, EQ adjustments, and troubleshooting audio issues.
* Proficiency in configuring and operating audiovisual equipment, including cameras, video switchers, audio mixers, and streaming hardware.
* Strong technical skills with vMix software, including knowledge of advanced features such as multi-camera setups, chroma-keying, virtual sets, and NDI integration.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure while troubleshooting technical issues during live events.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders, including event organizers, producers, technicians, and talent.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality production values and exceeding client expectations.
* Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to support live event productions and accommodate different time zones if necessary.
