Your role starts before the big day: source or prepare a buffet menu that suits a mixed crowd, arrange the drink list (wine, spirits, soft options, and mixers), and line up the jazz soundtrack—whether that’s booking a small live trio or curating a seamless playlist with quality speakers. On the day you’ll manage setup, service, guest top-ups, and a quick tidy-down at the end so my house feels like home again when the last guest leaves.
