Audio Engineer Needed for Web-Series
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I'm looking for a skilled audio engineer to complete my web series. The project involves sound editing for 6-10 episodes.
Your primary tasks will include:
✅ 1. Final Mixed Audio Tracks
a. 5.1 Surround Mix
Full 5.1 audio mix in Discrete Channel WAV files.
Channel order: L, R, C, LFE, Ls, Rs (standard).
Dialogue, music, and effects should be balanced for home entertainment listening environments.
b. Stereo Mix
Downmixed version from the 5.1 or a dedicated stereo mix.
Should be LtRt (matrixed surround) or LoRo (standard stereo) depending on preference.
Dialog should remain centered and intelligible.
c. Atmos Mix
Delivered as ADM BWF files with room and object metadata.
✅ 2. M&E (Music & Effects) Tracks
Full M&E tracks (no dialogue).
Needed for dubbing in other languages.
Must be fully filled—no dropouts where the original language was.
✅ 3. Stems
Separate audio stems:
Dialogue (DX)
Music (MX)
Effects (FX)
(Helps in international localization, trailers, promos, etc.)
✅ 4. Audio Specs and Technical Standards
Sample Rate: 48kHz
Bit Depth: 24-bit WAV files
Loudness:
-27 LKFS +/-2 LU for dialogue (US/ITU standards)
True Peak should not exceed -2 dBTP
No clipped peaks or excessive noise.
Consistency in volume levels, tonal quality, and surround imaging.
✅ 5. Sync and Timecode
All audio must sync frame-accurately with the final picture.
Start timecode is typically 01:00:00:00.
Use 24fps.
✅ 6. Audio Metadata & Documentation
Audio Configuration File (ACF) or delivery spreadsheet detailing:
Channel layout
Mixing notes
Microphone metadata (for Atmos)
Any creative intentions (like deliberate silence or low-volume moments)
✅ 7. QC and Approvals
Netflix requires that content pass stringent QC checks for audio (as well as video).
This includes:
No phasing issues
Clean fades
Proper lip sync
No residual pops or hums
Please ensure your portfolio includes previous work of a similar nature. We will give you the IMDb credit also for the same as the sound mixer. Ask us for the Dubbing if it is required anywhere, then place it correctly. You will have to create SFX, Foley, Atmosphere, Voice, BGM, Songs and dubbing (we will profile dubbing file).
