PC Desktop App Developer for Training Game (Timer-Based Instruction App)

Job ID: 39632267

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

We are seeking an experienced desktop application developer to build a simple but polished PC-based game that supports a real-world training tool called the Egely Wheel. The game does not simulate or control the wheel. Instead, it provides verbal and written instructions, manages timed intervals, and guides the user through a structured 4-round training session.

The app must be downloadable and standalone, compatible with Windows laptops (no server or internet dependency), and visually clean and engaging.

Game Function Overview:
When the player presses spacebar, a 30-second countdown begins.
During that countdown, an instruction appears on-screen (e.g., "Spin Left") along with a voice cue.
After the 30 seconds, a 2-minute timer begins — the player focuses on physically influencing the Egely Wheel.
This cycle repeats 4 times, with different spin directions randomly assigned.
After 4 cycles, a “Challenge Complete” screen is shown with a restart option.

Developer Task Breakdown

1. Startup Screen
Display welcome text:
"Hello Perceptualist, welcome to the Telekinesis challenge we call Spin Control..."
Include a Start button (user presses spacebar or clicks Start).
2. Game Loop Logic (Repeated 4 Rounds)
Each round contains 2 key phases:

A. Instruction Phase (30 seconds)

Triggered by spacebar.
Display countdown timer (30 seconds, counting down in real-time).
During the timer:
Show written instruction (e.g., “Spin Right” or “Spin Left”) clearly on screen.
Play corresponding audio clip with the instruction (e.g., voice saying “Spin Right”).
Ensure instructions appear immediately after pressing spacebar and remain on screen during the countdown.
Note to developer: Written/audio instructions will be provided as assets. You may randomize their sequence (e.g., right, left, right, left).
B. Attempt Phase (2 minutes / 120 seconds)

After instruction timer ends:
Display a large countdown (120 seconds).
Optionally display motivating text like “Focus and Influence the Wheel Now.”
No new instructions during this time.
3. Repeat for 4 Total Rounds
After each 2-minute attempt:
Restart 30-second instruction timer.
Display new instruction.
After round 4 ends, display an End of Game screen:
Message: “Well done, Perceptualist. Challenge Complete.”
Option to restart game or close application.

Quick turn around needed.
